Grammarly APP Review

Grammarly is an AI writing assistant platform available as a plugin for browsers such as Chrome, and it's also accessible as an application to iOS and Android users. I am now more familiar with Grammarly than ever before because I never had a premium account set up, but it has been provided to me by the university, for which I am thankful.

Grammarly is a remarkable tool and AI writing assistant that enhances your grammar. It helps you communicate your ideas to others in a more professional manner. The app has numerous capabilities, such as saving documents on its platform, similar to how you would in Microsoft Word. Its usability is seamless and straightforward. As you compose and write your project or essay, it identifies errors in grammar as you type. You can perform an overall review, accepting the adjustments and advice that the app offers to improve sentences and correct grammatical mistakes. By design, the app is user-friendly and straightforward and does not require downloading a large file on your phone. The app size for the iPhone is 233 megabytes.

It features an easy-to-use AI keyboard that can be integrated with your regular keyboard, assisting you with emails and messages. For premium users, there are additional capabilities such as tone detection, sentence transformations, multi-word text predictions, and smart auto-correction. You can also add the app as an extension for Safari. It is also available as a desktop application. Offers citation support, making sure you are crediting every source you list in your papers. The app delivers real-time writing feedback and assistance. It has multiple functions, including grammar and spell checks, tone detection, and the ability to scan your document for plagiarism across the web. You are also able to use your voice instead of typing.

In terms of improvements, I would suggest that the app undergo revisions to accommodate high-speed texting better. Enhancing the text speed and grammar detection would be beneficial. Sometimes, the grammar and spell checks are not 100% accurate; it may take a few scans for the app to pick up on errors. Occasionally, I notice that the suggestions it provides do not align with the context of the writing you wish to convey to your readers. While it detects fundamental grammar issues, it is not foolproof. However, it does allow you to dismiss the recommendations it provides. Another recommendation would be to add real-life feedback from an actual person if you were to submit your paper for errors and mistakes or help with topic choice. Although the campus university can offer this, it would also be a plus for them to add this feature, especially for premium users.

Overall, the app is excellent for students and everyday users, even on the free platform. Detecting writing mistakes can significantly improve your overall communication and enhance your writing skills, providing a learning and educational opportunity. Using the app and observing its suggestions can lead to the improvement of your writing skills.
